This week our business classes will work on teaching the students about the forms of business ownership and visual branding.

This week students will continue learning about the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. pitching techniques. They will  also experience effectiveness of focus groups. The students will use the focus group and work in teams to create a new product and then they pitch the new product as a team.  This will be our second pitch competition and will include three rounds with a winner at the end of the week.

Introduction to Business

This week we will work on completing the personal finance project as well as getting a good start on the retail business project.  The students will be questioned on some of the topics discussed in each project.  The students will also continue to use canva to create and design social media post as they learn the skill of digital marketing.


Business Communications

This week in business communications we will complete our Business Simulation as each student is charged with running his or her own sports franchise.  They will be responsible for creating a profit of 3,000,000.00 dollars for the franchise.  Their task will include creating partnerships, choosing the proper marketing channels,  targeting the proper audience. and staff the business correctly to create profit.

This week we will have an outstanding week where my Intro to Business students will present their business stories. They will also learn about credit as well as gaining an understanding for the importance of email marketing.

Our Business Communications students will learn about Sponsorship's, social media, traditional media and email marketing. They will also learn about credit.

This should be a very exciting week leading into Spring Break.

This week students will learn the steps that must be considered when purchasing a car.  They will understand maintenance  costs, insurance,  interest  and the cost of new  vs. used.  This is a practical lesson that will benefit all students.

Introduction to Business/ Business Communications

This week in intro to Business the students will begin to add products to their stores. They will learn how to create a profit with proper product placement. Last week they learned about market research.

In our business communications class we learned how to price our tickets. This week we will work on properly staffing our stadiums.

This week both groups will prepare a short presentation on what was learned throughout the week.

This week we will begin and sports franchise simulation in Business Communications. We will also begin a retail business simulation in Intro to Business. These simulations will force the students to think critically and get an idea of some of the decisions that must be made to run a business.  This will also allow them to strengthen  their reading and math skills while applying them to real life business situations.

The students will complete All About Me projects and presentations. The students will give feedback and suggestions on business ideas each student she research throughout the semester.  The students will begin this week with a detailed business description.

This week in Business Communications the  students will give their first presentation. They will present the solution to a business problem using PowerPoint.  They will also begin to discuss Nonverbal and verbal communication and role play different examples.  The students will discuss the climate and opportunities in business today and  choose a direction for the semester.

Welcome to Business Communications.  This course will be a high level dive into business concepts that we touched on in the level one course.  This course will be heavy on creation of presentations and evaluation of information and data.  Presentation is a large part of the course assessments.  We will have to create presentations to both inform and persuade our business colleagues.
